Providence Downtown
I was in Providence, Rhode Island on a Sunday afternoon at the end of June for a street photography jaunt. I've only been to Providence one other time and that was for their Waterfire event that they hold a few times a year. Click here for more info on Waterfire, definitely worth a trip.
On this day I wandered through the older, more artsy area of the city and then over to the river. I will post photos from the riverfront in another blog post. There's a more historic area of the city that I may explore on the next visit. It was too hot on this day to do more than the 3.5 miles of walking that I did.

I wanted to explore The Arcade. The Arcade is a national historic landmark. It was the nation’s oldest indoor shopping mall! The first floor now features newly designed retail shops and restaurants, while the second and third floors are home to residents of 48 micro lofts.

Tiffany!! Of course this made me think of the hilarious scene in the movie "TED" where Donny (who kidnaps Ted) is in his livingroom dancing to Tiffany's "I Think We're Alone Now". LOL

I loved the pipe. My Grandfather smoked a pipe. To this day I still love the smell of pipe tobacco. Brings back nice memories of Grandpa.
We've come full circle. Just around the bend is The Arcade.
Turns out all that artwork is on the remnants of a building. There's nothing behind that wall.
